[fusion_dropcap color=”” boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”50%” class=”” id=””]H[/fusion_dropcap]eb je een leuk oud meubeltje wat je graag wilt gaan schilderen (pimpen), maar wat blijkt er zit er een waslaag op? Vervelend maar niet verloren. Maar hoe weet je nou of er een waslaag op zit? Je kunt over het meubel gaan met je nagel, als er dan een donkere, vette laag zit op je nagel, weet je dat het behandeld is met was. Je kunt het ook zien als je het meubel aan het schoonmaken bent; het sopje is donkerbruin en er komt echt drab vanaf. Of je ziet het aan je schuurpapier, door de wrijving wordt de was warm en loopt je schuurpapier vol met een vette laag. Op een meubel kan ook een lak of vernis laag zitten, dan is het een kwestie van licht opschuren.

STAP 1

Het allereerste wat je nu gaat doen is het schoonmaken van het meubel met een waslaag. Er zijn veel middelen in de handel, maar ik gebruik Dasty (Wibra € 1.79,-). Dusty is een super ontvetter. Spray de Dusty op het meubel en laat het 5 minuten inwerken (langer kan ook, maar laat het product niet indrogen) en neem dan een pannenspons en schuur in de richting van de houtnerf. Je ziet dat de was er af vliegt. Vergeet niet de knopen en greepjes ook af te nemen. Je kunt het naspoelen met water. Als het sop heel erg vies is maak je het meubel nog een keer schoon. Het is namelijk belangrijk dat het meubel goed schoon is anders zal de verf niet goed hechten. Laat je meubel goed drogen.

Nu is je meubel klaar om hem verder af te werken.
